Hi, lovely readers! I'm Arthur, one-half of the couple behind the Sights For Two travel blog. Let me take a moment to share a little bit about myself. Originally from Monrovia, Liberia, West Africa, I migrated to the United States at the age of seven and have called America my second home ever since. Few states I have lived in include: Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Florida, and now Delaware. Each state has left its mark on my heart, enriching my life with countless relationships and unforgettable memories.
Traveling has always intrigued me. Inspired by my oldest sister’s travel stories and further ignited during my first trip to Denmark at 19. It opened my eyes to the wonders of the world and sparked a relentless desire to explore new horizons. Our recent adventures in Malaysia and Thailand have only deepened my passion for globe-trotting. Apart from my love for travel, I’m a huge food lover, with sushi and Haemul sundubu-jjigae being my all-time favorite.
In April of 2022, I did something I never thought I would do. I quit my job and went on an eight month sabbatical around Europe. I was blessed to achieve one of my dreams traveling solo. It was nerve-wracking yet an incredibly rewarding experience. As traveling solo promotes self-discovery, confidence and empowerment. If given the opportunity I believe everyone should try it at least once! So join me as I continue to explore the world and share my adventures with you all. Cheers to a life filled with wanderlust!
Hello, fellow travelers and adventure seekers! I am Oscar, the other half of this couple's travel blog. Born and raised in the heart of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, I am a Philly native through and through. While I've embraced life in Delaware, Philly will always be a part of me.
I didn’t travel much internationally when I was younger but would frequently visit various states along the east coast, like New York, New Jersey, Maryland, and DC. These trips filled my childhood with cherished memories and a sense of wonder about the world.
With Jamaican heritage, my first international trip was to Jamaica, a journey that deepened my appreciation for my culture and roots. Exploring the beautiful island and connecting with family left an indelible mark on me. It is also why I love tropical climates. Some fun facts about myself, I am a lover of all things food-related. Philly cheesesteak, being a local favorite, tops my list of preferred delicacies. However, my taste buds have recently fallen in love with the irresistible flavors of Poke Bowls.
When I’m not traveling or indulging in delicious cuisine, you can find me immersed in the world of gaming. Whether it’s playing competitive fighting games, FPS, or Japanese RPGs, I find endless joy in the virtual realms.
Music is a constant source of inspiration and enjoyment in my life. I consider myself a true hip-hop enthusiast, although I do appreciate other genres as well.
During my formative years, I developed a deep admiration for Japanese animations. Being an avid enthusiast of anime and manga, I was captivated by the beautiful artworks and entranced by the cultural essence it embodies. My passion for this unique art form resonated so profoundly that my first trip as an adult took me on an unforgettable expedition to Japan.
